No. The Thirsty Pedaler does not provide any alcohol.
Anyone who wants to have a good time in a unique way! Bachelor/Bachelorette parties, corporations, team builders, singles mixers, wedding day transportation…The list is endless!
The Thirsty Pedaler carries 15 passengers and one driver. The driver is provided by us, the 15 passengers are provided by you. 12 of the passengers sit on the bicycle seats on the side (10 pedal), and a bench in the back seats three.
For exact prices, go to our pricing tab. It’s about $10- $13 per hour a seat (depending on if you want a weekday or weekend) if you have all 15 people onboard.
As few as three really big dudes going down a hill have been able to move it. But we suggest at the very least six to pedal to have a good amount of fun.
It can go a mind-blowing 4 to 7 miles an hour. Seriously, it’s slow moving, but it is on one heck of a good time.
Small ones. The more people aboard the easier it is to go up hills.
The Thirsty Pedaler has a minimum height requirement of 5’3" for pedalers (the seats are not adjustable.) There is a maximum weight limit of 300 pounds for people on the bike seats. The back seat is perfect for those who don’t fit within the height and weight limitations.
All riders must be at least 18 years of age (21 on tours where pub crawls) and provide valid identification.
The Pilot. If you act in a dangerous manner, you’ll be asked to get off and find your own way home. You can imagine the difficulty we had finding insurance for this thing in America, so the rules are strictly enforced.
The renter. Only one person can be a renter and that person is the only person the Pilot answers to. Can you imagine 16 people arguing about when to leave the bar? We don’t want our Pilots getting in the middle of that!
We run rain or shine. Be prepared for all types of weather situations; it can be quite fun riding The Thirsty Pedaler in challenging weather. If there is dangerous weather, however, The Thirsty Pedaler has the right to cancel the tour before or even during the tour to protect the passengers.
We run from March through the end of November. However, give us a call and if you have a special event outside of these dates, we can make exceptions.
It can run from 10AM- 10PM. Check our booking tab and it will give you our specific times each day. If there is a time you really would like and we don’t have it listed, please call us and we will try to fit it in to our schedule.
You can bring your own non-alcoholic drinks and snacks and we have room for small coolers on The Thirsty Pedaler. Remember, no glass, please.
Riding The Thirsty Pedaler can be a dangerous activity, just like riding any bike. You should have a reasonable expectation that you could possibly fall off and scrape your knee. We offer bike helmets because it’s prudent. You don’t have to wear one — that’s totally up to you. But you do take responsibility if you bump your noggin’. Everyone signs a waiver stating they will take responsibility for their actions and follow the rules. Please print and bring with you on the tour. Each person must sign a waiver.
Go on our Book tour/Reservations tab and you can pick your date and time and pay online with your credit or debit card. You can also give us a call at 502-354-8822 if you would like to speak to us. One credit card per reservation please. It would be too crazy if 15 people called with 15 different credit cards for one reservation.
Wear clothes that will be comfortable for the outdoor elements, however wear what you want as long as you will be comfortable pedaling. Bring an extra pair of shoes if that would easier.
The tour starts at our storage unit and ends at our storage unit. We are located at 223 South Clay Street. You will be pedaling half of the time and stopped half of the time, approximately. No matter what, this will be a blast! We are going to have a great time. Reserve today.
